Appearance

Open Customize (or press E) and choose the Appearance tab. The Customize panel opens on the right, or as a sheet from the bottom in a narrow window. Its tabs are Appearance, Chrome colours, Widgets, and Settings.

Undo and saving

Changes made in the panel save automatically. The panel shows Saving… while it writes. If a save fails, it says so and offers Try again or Discard these changes.

• Undo and Redo in the panel header step through appearance and layout edits, up to 30 steps. Ctrl + Z and Ctrl + Shift + Z do the same on the page.
• Undo my changes at the bottom of the panel returns to how things were when you opened the panel.

Themes

A theme is the page's look: wallpaper, colours, material, text size, and widget layout. Applying a theme never changes your notes, tasks, or links.

Tabmori has eight built-in themes: Morning Mist, Blank, Dusk Bloom, Late Night, Misty Pines (the default), Still, Violet, and Asters. The strip at the top of each card shows the colour that theme gives Chrome's tab bar and toolbar.

• Preview a theme. Click a card to preview it on the page, then choose Use theme or Back (Esc also goes back).
• Keep your edits. After you change the current theme, its card shows Edited with Save to "name" for your own themes, or Restore default for a built-in theme. Save as new theme keeps the edits as a new theme.
• Rename or delete. Use the card's ··· menu. Built-in themes cannot be deleted, and the theme in use must be switched away from before you delete it.

Theme files

• Export .json from a card's menu saves the theme as <name>.tabmori.json through a normal browser download. Tick Include the wallpaper (a larger file) to put a picture wallpaper inside the file.
• Import .json opens a theme file and previews it before you use it.

A theme file carries appearance only. It never includes notes, tasks, or links.

Let your AI design one

Let your AI design one… gives you a brief to copy into an AI assistant of your choice. The brief describes the current theme and tells the assistant not to include notes, tasks, links, bookmarks, history, downloads, or other private text. Paste the assistant's reply back, click Check, then Use this to save it as a new theme and preview it.

Tabmori does not connect to any AI service. The brief is written in Chinese whatever the interface language.

Wallpaper

Under Wallpaper, the wallpaper grid shows your uploaded pictures first (newest first), then 20 bundled photos, 8 solid colours, and 4 gradients. Built-in wallpapers are always available. Change moves keyboard focus into the grid. Uploaded video wallpapers have no tile in the grid; to use one again, choose it with ＋ Choose a picture.

＋ Choose a picture accepts PNG, JPEG, WebP, MP4, and WebM. You can also drop a file on the page.

Wallpapers count toward the 200 MB limit for all local media.

Wallpaper controls:

• Scrim · keeps text readable lays a tint over the wallpaper.
• Blur softens it.
• Fit: Fill the page or Whole picture.
• Tone: Auto, Paper (light), or Night (dark).

Page colours and material sets Text, Accent, and Page colour, or lets them Follow the wallpaper. Secondary text is shown for reference and cannot be set. Material is Paper or Frosted glass, and Text size is Small, Standard, or Large.

The Chrome window row at the bottom of the tab names the Chrome colour tile that matches the page. See Chrome colours.

Layout playground

The widget layout is part of the theme. Arrange it on the Widgets tab, where a miniature of the page appears beside the panel. See Arrange widgets.
