Tabs, history & collections

Manage open tabs, browsing history, read-later links, and reusable tab collections.

Open the side panel's Tabs area for the working set. Its four views are Current tabs, History, Read later, and Collections. The dashboard also has larger History, Read Later, and Collections pages.

Current tabs

Search by title or URL, select a tab to activate it, or use a row menu to close, pin, mute, duplicate, reload, or move it when the action is offered. Multi-select enables batch tab actions. Cordy reads tab metadata through installed tab permissions; reading page text is a separate optional site grant.

Use Collect window or Ctrl+Shift+K to save the current window as a collection. Review the destination and whether the original tabs should close before completing the action.

Browsing history

The History view requires Chrome's optional History permission. Search visited pages, filter by date in the dashboard, reopen a result, or remove selected history records. History search can also supply @history context and the assistant's searchHistory tool when those features are enabled.

Read later

Choose Add to Read Later from a supported tab action. Opening a read-later item restores the page and removes it from the list. Use the dashboard for search, sorting, and batch cleanup.

Collections

Create a collection with a name and optional description, icon, and color. A collection can be pinned, archived, locked, duplicated, renamed, or deleted. Locking protects it from actions that would otherwise drain or delete it.

Within a collection you can:

  • reorder and edit saved links;
  • open one saved link, which removes it in the OneTab-style flow;
  • restore all links to the current window, a new window, an incognito window, or a Chrome tab group when available;
  • import newline-separated links;
  • remove duplicates; and
  • select links to move, restore, or delete in a batch.

The collection settings include whether a restored collection is deleted afterward. Check this before restoring if you want the saved set to remain.

Use Import / Export on Collections to move collection data through the format produced by Cordy. Imported URLs remain local until you open them.
